I REALLY wanted one of these cars but heard the transmission whining on all 6 of the used ones I was test driving. I reluctantly passed on the 04-05 TL and got an A/T '04 TSX instead.

It's really a bummer that the J series V6 in the 04-05 TLs have auto trans issues.

If these issues weren't present, I'd have a nice 04 TL in my driveway today.

The TSX is nice and all, but the TL could be had for the same price and is nicer (especially its ride quality, heft and interior).


I'll end the rant now, but thanks to the OP for bringing up this issue.
