When I am driving slow, under 15 MPH and the transmission shifts gears it will slam into 2nd gear. Has anyone gone thru this problem yet?

I know the transmission is supposed to keep it's self in low gear longer, but I don't think it should slam into the next gear when it shifts up.

I have an appointment tomorrow to get a bunch of other stuff fixed, and this I will add to the list.

In any other car forum this would have been addressed immediately. But a faulty tranny is normal for a TL, so no one even bothered to reply to your thread. Its unbelieveable how shitty the TL is. All the people who dont have any problems here will and/or are in denial of all the problems

I have an '06 TL less than 5K miles. What I notice is when I brake to slow down the car, the rpm spikes up, and the car lunges forward then back to normal. This happens, I think, when down shifting from 4th to 3rd gear. Anyone with same problem or can shed any light on this?

 

I have a 06 and mine does that when i brake on down hills. I think its normal becuase of the Grade Logic thing to help assist in braking
