Transmission Problems

After fighting with acura service department my trans (04 TL) was finally replaced last week, due to the shuttering while shifting from 3rd to 4th gear, when cold. The old trans had only 43 000 mles. Since few days, I have my brand new Transmission but.......another problem occured. When I drive really slow, 10/15 MPH, I experience little shutter when the trans shifts 1st to 2nd. It happens only in a slow speed, otherwise; the trans works smooth. Any idea what is cousing the shuttering? Is it possible that the problem is related to the fact the trans is so brand new? Should I wait or go back to the dealer? Trust me guys, I am so sick of going over there!!!!!!!!!

When you say stutter, do you mean it hesitates to shift from 1 to 2, or that it's a hard shift, or does it switch between 1 and 2 constantly? I'm not really sure what you mean by stutter!

Sorry, it is hard to describe it. Yes, there is a small hesitation moment and a small hard shift.....like u can fell vaibrations for a sec. No it does not happend constantly, but when i drive really slow it happens most of the time. When I start with the normal speed, it almost dosen't exist at all. Hompe that helps!

I usually have a harder shift from 1 to 2 and from 2 to 3 when I am driving in slow speeds. There is a slight hesitation before it shifts over to the next gear. What happens when you're accelerating into a highway on-ramp? Does it do the same thing?

Have you /definitively/ determined that what you're experiencing is NOT normal? Have you driven another TL to see what it does, given the same conditions?

I have some transmission problems with my car right now and between the two dealers and me, 6 different TLs have been tested to determine whether my car is faulty or if it is normal.

I would have that looked at. Since it's at low speeds only, it may be an issue with low pressures to a clutch or band. Not a good thing.
