transmission click?

hi,, i have searched threads and could not find what I was looking for. When I push the brakes while in park to switch to reverse or any other one, my clutch makes a clicking noise. This happens when the car is hot and cold. Do you guys and gals think this might be realted to my Knocking engine? (therad is in problems and fixes)

Firstly, has it always done this? I would suspect that it is just the drive train slack being taken up by engine torque being routed through the transmission. Remember, with automatics, there is always going to be some torque delivered to the drive wheels at engine idle speed when the transmission is in gear. So if you go from, say, Drive to Reverse, or the other way around, the slight bit of slack, or play, in the rest of the drive system, including the CV joints, will be taken up. This sudden take up of slack can and most often does, emit a sound.

^ it's normal buddy. It's when the transmission is engaging against the gears and sometimes it makes a little noise. Not any problem
