I just purchased new tires for my '06 TL. I bought them online and have a friend who is going to mount them for me at the body shop he works for. We have a question about the TPMS. I purchased the rebuild kit along with the tires. It comes with a rubber washer, valve cap, an aluminum part that goes over the valve stem on the outside of the wheel, and another part that looks kind of like a miniature spark plug. Without taking the tire off, I have never looked at a TMPS sensor before. Is it something that someone with pretty good mechanical skills will be able to figure out how to disassemble and reassemble? Does it require any special tools to disassemble? Does anyone know of a link with step by step pictures that will show the process? Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
