Tpms....
Tpms....
hey guys. After i hit the pot hole in dc and put on the spare, my tpms started actin up. When i start the car up, initially the tpms works fine and gives me normal readings but after about 10-15 minutes of driving, tpms light comes and and says for me to check the tpms system. I'm thinkin maybe its cuz the spare is on there and that once i put the ronjon legends and new tires on it, it'll go away. What do you guys think? anyone have this problem?
offtopic but, when i go to the shop this weekend to mount my new tires and rims, what do i have to tell the techs there about the tpms system? how do i get it on the new wheels? thnx guys in advance.

If a flat tire is replaced with the spare tire, and the flat tire is stored in the cargo area, the low tire pressure indicator will stay on but the appropriate tire indicator will go off. When the flat tire is taken out of the vehicle for repair, the TPMS indicator will come on (DTC 32, 34, 36 or 38) because the system is no longer receiving the signal from the tire's transmitter. When you put the new Ron Jons on you will have to mount the tpms valve stem tire sensors in the new rims, im not too sure if the ronjons will fit the stock sensors or not someone with ronjons will have to answer that question, but the stock wheels have a certain spot cut out of the rim for the valve stem sensor and the rim is designed to compensate for the weight of the sensor for balancing purposes. So you will either need to use the stock tire sensors or find aftermarket sensors to work with your new wheels or your tpms light will come on.
