TLS Rear Strut Noise Update
TLS Rear Strut Noise Update
Ok, have had my car in for the rear noise 3 different times, first time they replaced the sway bar bushings, second time the sway bar links and the 3rd time the struts, even though my car already had the updated struts. The noise has progressively gotten worse. Today I was driving and the right rear of the car was makeing a really bad noiseand the car felt loose. I had already made an appointment for Monday but decided to take it to my local mechanic as the car felt really wierd and loose. 2 minutes up on the lift and he finds the problem that the dealer could not. Turns out the monkeys who installed the sway bar linkes stripped the studds out and the sway bar links were loose in the mounting holes.
WTF. First of all a factory trained technician from Acura does not know how to install the links and not strip out the studs, secondly they only installed 2 new nuts, out of 4. Thirdly they could not find the problem on the 2 visits and it took my local gas station mechanic 2 minutes to find the problem.
Car is going back on monday and they are going to replace everything again as I do not trust their installation.
Acura CS will hear about this.

That's too bad man. You want to get higher end service at the dealer, and unfortunately it just doesn't happen all the time. Almost every odd rear noise I have heard was the endlink not being tight.
