TL wont start

I recently went to the dealer for the B2 service. This morning I try starting the car, and all it does was turn the lights on, but the engine wouldn't crank. Its garage kept so nothing could've got flooded. Thanks.

I had the same problem recently. My battery was not dead, I had just replaced it, I checked all connections and they were good. After getting it towed into the shop they told me my started needed to be replaced. Might be the same for you.

Go the cheapest way first and test the battery. Not sure if this will help but You have an 07, I read from multiple members having to get the battery acura sells replaced because they are crap. It might be that. It's getting cold and the batteries I think drain a bit due to the cold.

My car sometimes takes a split second longer to start sometimes because the battery has been sitting for like 12 hours in cold ass weather. Since i've owned the car, I've had the battery lose charge on me twice :-(. Freezing temps outside and the battery drained, had to get a boost and it drove like a champ after that.

when you try to start the car, do you hear a rapid clicking sound? If yes, then the battery is dead. You should be able to get a free acura battery, however if they make you pay any more than 30 bucks for a new one, go over to Wal-Mart/Sams club and get yourself an after-market one for much less money, and one that will last a while. Anything is better than the crap batteries acura sells.

I havent driven my 08 TL-s in about a week and today it wouldnt start. I heard that rapid clicking noise that csmeance was talking about and the dome lights were kind of dim, everything else looked fine. tried to jump it but I only had one of those shitty battery chargers/ jumpers available. When I get home Im gonna jump it with another car if that doesnt work its getting towed to the dealer. What are the odds that the battery is shot and I need a new one?

As it turned out it was the battery. Suprising that just 2 days ago it passed the battery test at the dealer. Charged it up and has been holding ever since.

Im experiencing a similar issue. My 05 TL has been starting up fine, but I didn't drive it at all this past Sunday and most of Monday. So when I go to start it up late Monday evening, it seemed like it didn't want to start. It gave the indication that it wasn't going to start which was similar to the problem when my battery died the last time. But this time the car started, its just takes a bit longer and the crank seems weak. My first battery would regularly die for no reason at all and Acura eventually replaced it. All has been fine up until this week. I have only 43,000 miles on it, and it looks like I'll need a third battery. (hopefully that's all it is, and maybe all mine needs is a proper charge; the jumper cables I have are pretty old).

I attempted to boost it and while the cables were connected the crank was a little stronger, but as soon as I take the cables off and try to start it again, the crank is weak again. I'm taking it in today, but the car is out of warranty so I'll be paying out of pocket to fix this issue Acura sees to have with their batteries.
