TL window problem - Auto roll up doesnt work

I checked out a TL today and noticed the auto roll up on the passenger side window doesnt go up. Is this something that is a known issue? When I manually pressed the window up button it went up without any issues. What is the fix for this and do the TLs typically have electrical problems?

i think it is a common problem, the window regulator is faulty. Mine was the same, auto-up failed and was replaced under warranty.

the guy selling the car said its due to the window requiring silicon or something.. how much does something like this cost.. this particular car is an 05 so its out of warranty. i may have the owner adjust the price due to this faulty regulator. can others please confirm too.

thx

Yes. That is correct.

Delray Acura has a parts page that allows you to search and view part numbers (and often what the part looks like). Very helpful

http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...ll&ListAll=All

The above is for an 04 6spd non-navi, so change accordingly

That has happened to me a couple times, and ALWAYS at the wrong time. The last time I remember it happening was when it was about 25 degrees in the morning right as I was leaving to work, I rolled it down to hock a loogie out the window and I tried rolling it up and it wouldn't go I was like WHHHHHATT? It was fking freezing but I was almost late to work so I started driving with 25 degrees and cold wind blowing on my face, freezing. I kept trying and eventually about a minute later it rolled back up.

As far as I can remember, the only times it has happened to me are when it is really cold outside.

Same thing is happening to my passenger side window. I took it for repair while it was still under warranty and all they did was spray something on it. Now it is happening again and it is not under warranty.

I get it at random times. Most recently was when I was in tahoe and it was snowing pretty hard. Fucking sucked. It did the up an inch and then down for a few minutes, then made it half way and went back down a few times. Finally all the way up.

i went to the junk yard, found the part, and had someone replace it and it works good as new...

one question, during the install the white plastic type lining that needs to me removed to get to the inner door, it seems like they just pushed it back on and it stuck in place.

should i reseal it, and if so with what?

thanks

There's a TSB on the front windows, Service Bulletin 06-031, which might apply to you. You can find it in the Garage -

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/3g-tl-technical-service-bulletins-tsbs-3g-garage-j-016-a-613659/

Note that cars out of warranty might be "eligible for goodwill consideration."

so the problem i described is the regulator? its weird how if you put the window up regularly - without auto roll up it goes up fine.

what is this spray that ppl have sprayed in there to fix the issue?
