TL is struggling when it starts
i went to start the car a couple days ago and it wouldnt turn on. it sounded like the starter was just turning over quickly, clicking, but nothing else. and then i stopped and tried it again. the car turned on but it sounded like it was struggling before it finally did. ever since then, it sounds like its struggling before it finally turns on.
anyone have any ideas what it could be?

get it to a parts store where they will check all the things mentioned for FREE
Battery life is 3 years- 4 for the really lucky
Make sure you know the radio and nav codes- they will lock down when battery removed
a fresh battery makes the car run better too

i'll get the battery checked. but its weird cause it wasnt struggling at all. thats what makes me think it wasnt the battery. i left it still for a couple of days when i went to vegas and when i came back i started it and like i said earlier, the starter kept going and turned over, didnt sound like it struggled like it normally does on a bad battery. turning over really fast and everything, but then it started to struggle. is it still the battery then?
where can i go get it checked? will they hook up a battery for me and i can see if it starts well or not? that would be the best situation. maybe i should go to costco and get a new one and hook it up. and if it doesnt fix the problem, then i know thats not it.
thanks for the info guys

thats crazy! buy a batt instead of test first?
AS we say all the time- go to kragen- autozone- checkers - type parts store- the big place in your area. They come outside with a machine that clamps on to the battery cables- it tells the voltage of the battery- you crank the engine- it shoes the amp draw- if its excessive, its starter prob- then with engine running they see voltage- and you turn on the headlights- it shows the alternator response to the draw/load. Good machines can also do a load test with engine off- it simulates a large starter load a sif it was really cold and if the battery drops or holds up.
Costco batts are ok- nothing last any longer than the next -
longer warranty only gets partial payment replacement cost, not free replacement-
weigh the cost and brand versus your needs- If you sit and run a giant stereo for hours- get a `deep cycle` marine/rv battery style instead of car battery type
But always get things tested before buying parts
Head to the parts store now- look in the phone book- automobile parts New
