I was pulling into a parking space and my engine shut off while I was still in gear. I have headlights, radio,and a/c controls. Doors lock and unlock. But I do not have all of the display on the speedo or dash gauges. Car will turn over the starter but will not start. It acts like a security system is preventing engine starting.

I am a new owner and can not find any information when I search the forum.

Any help would be appreciated.

fuel clogged? hydrolocked?

 

I have no power to the instrument panel. No speedo or tach, warning lights etc.

Relay or fuse?

I have the same problem in my 2004, except my gauges work, just my subwoofer I installed wont.

 

I'd check your fuses first. If the problem, it's a quick and easy fix.

 

do you see the key indicator on the speedo if not the immobilizer probably kicked in

 

Thanks for all the response. I am a new owner and was not sure if it was a security problem.

Had to take the car to the dealer because I was 300 miles from home. Found that there was a bad power line to the fuse box that shut off power to about half of the fuses. Fixed the wire and I am back in business.
