TL going into limp mode but no CEL; navigation resets
So I have an interesting issue. I was driving my 2007 TL Type-S and I noticed the navigation started resetting itself over and over at a red light. When the light turned green I tried to accelerate but the car will only let me go 15 mph or so. It continues to rev. After a few resets of the navigation the car will return to normal and allows me to drive fine. On the drive home this happened multiple times.
I have searched around here and found out that the car is going into limp mode. The car is not throwing a CEL though. I took it to a mechanic who was able to replicate the issue but they cannot figure out the issue because of no CEL. From my searches I have seen people mention an acceleration sensor issue but most seem to suggest you will get a CEL if the sensor goes bad.
Has anyone had this problem without getting a CEL? Thanks in advance.

Check your battery status and cables-- clamp and ground ends-- for tightness and corrosion. Check the positive cable for corrosion for a couple of feet behind the clamp as well. A bad connection or bad battery cell results in all kinds of strange electrical symptoms in the TL. If you've got the original OEM battery, change it out immediately.
The APP sensor can sometimes go bad without a CEL, but only intermittently and with diminished acceleration rather than triggering limp mode, from what I've read here. Once the APP sensor is that bad, the CEL is triggered.
