TL battery Dead, Car does not open. Help!!

Dear Readers,
the battery of my car is dead. And the car wont get open. Even not manually with the key. How to open the car? Or how to open the hood from outside to charge the battery?

Thanks for your help.

Even with the battery dead you should be able to use the key, so thats really strange that you cant get it open manually. There is no way to open the hood from outside the car that I am aware of. Might need to call a locksmith and get them to get you into the car.

Key 1 Key 2 and Key V should all open the driver door even with a dead battery.

so when you insert the key what happened? I know its dumb question but we need to eliminate the possibility.

Maybe since the key hole is never really used it needs some help turning and the tumblers are stuck. I would try getting some grafite lube in there and see if it frees up. Just a hunch

As I live in the Netherlands. There is No Acura Dealer here. When I put the key in the hole, it goes left and right as normally it should, but there is no friction feeling like the lock is opening or closing.

the best way to get into the car without damaging anything is to call a locksmith that has an airbag to prop the door open.

so, he'll slightly bend the door in order to get his airbarg in between, then inflate and it will push the door open enough to where you can get a hook to to hook the lock up

US, Canada, and maybe China?? Can't remember...it has been a while since I last saw a thread discussing it. But there have been plenty of members from around the world that somehow managed to get a TL into various countries. I can recall Mexico, Puerto Rico, Germany off the top of my head.

This will be your best bet, just make sure you try using the key to unlock the passenger side before calling a lock smith or towing service.
