Timing belt and water pump change

Hey guys, just had my timing belt and water pump changed today and after I got home I noticed a weird smell I've never smelled before from my car. Idk how to explain it. It's kind of reminiscent of burning but not quite. It's a very unique smell. I'm wondering if it's possibly the new belts as I had the timing belt and serpentine belt changed. Could they be throwing off a smell since they're new? Also, I have picture of the old belts, water pump, tensioner, and pulleys. I will post them for you all to see in case you're wondering what they look like

Possible that antifreeze wasn't cleaned properly and remained on exhaust.
Keep an eye/nose on the problem and if it remains, have the mechanic take a look at the belts.
They can see the timing belt after lifting the inspection hole cover.

Well I'm not smelling it anymore so hopefully it's gone. Im thinking it was antifreeze that may have spilled and not wiped up when the old water pump was replaced. This might sound weird but since getting the timing belt and water pump replaced the car feels like it shifts a little smoother too.. I didn' think the timing belt affected shifting in any way though.

I felt a big difference in power after my timing belt was replaced. But also had the spark plugs done.
