Timing belt replacement -- which kit and what extra parts
2004 TL
2nd replacment at 205K, first one done at 95K. Probably only keep the car another 2-3 years.
What is the best kit to get, and what other parts not in the kit do people recommend?
thanks!

Not sure where you heard that from. That's what I have on mine and I had it installed at 80,000 miles and I'm at 135,000 mi with no problems. I also had the thermostat serpentine belt lower radiator hose new radiator cap installed. The aisin kit was AIS TKH-002@rb03-ostk for my '08 TL Type S. They also did a valve adjustment too along with new valve cover gaskets and spark plugs. There are a lot of NGK knockoff plugs be sure you buy the plugs from a reputable company and not like on Amazon or eBay.

The timing belt in the Aisin kit is made by Mitsuboshi, with an "o." They're an OEM for many brands, including Honda and Toyota. Many of us are running this timing belt and it works just fine.
The OE timing belt was made by Gates, but the other parts that come in their kit are reportedly not as good as those in the Aisin kit.

That code gets copied into the [How Did you Hear About Us] field at checkout. If you just now placed the order, then cancel it and go back and do the order over again with the discount.

I was going to say the same thing, those RA 5% off codes are all over the place to find them and use. I mean it's only 5% but hey it's somethin right...too bad you can't apply multiple codes or else you could get 100% off the codes are so available. Not trying to sound like an ass there, but anytime I've ever searched for a 5% off RA code they are out there in bunches.
