Ok it seems that these threads might have similar problems.
('05 TL Automatic) 2k miles
Just to specify, i've noticed that the squealing/whistling sound only occurs when you accelerate.

1) It has to be moderate acceleration - light or heavy acceleration tends to make it disappear.

2) It seems to occur all the way up to the gear change and then goes away until you accelerate again.

3) For me it seems only to occur at 2k RPMs and higher.

4) I had a light "rubbing" sensation since I got the car that I felt through the floorboard/pedal when accelerating (before the squealing problem). I wasn't sure at the time if it was normal or not - seems like it might be an indicator of a possible tranny problem.
