Taillight LED out

What have you guys done when your taillight goes out? Do you buy the whole unit or the individual LED inside the unit? Is the LED unit plug-n-play?

Taillight LED Unit:
33502-SEP-A01
33552-SEP-A01

Thanks in Advance.

If it is actually your LED that's been blown then you can go ahead and purchase just the LED portion of the taili light because it is plug 'n play. There are DIYs for it so just search

I doubt the LED assembly has failed. Which board is out?

I blew one of mine when I swapped out my tails. Acura considers all bulbs "expendable items" and won't cover them. You can try to PM AckTL05 to see if he has any extra from his tail light mod business. Otherwise, I believe they were $120 from Acura. They are plug & play and you may want to consider new gaskets/washers while you're at it.
When placing the unit on the tail, don't force anything. I think thats what did mine in. Everything should snap together nicely before screwing any screws down. If it doesn't, take the panel back off and figure out why.
Good luck!

Thanks guys!! I think I'm just going to buy both the left and right taillight LED unit and do both sides while I have the bumper off. If the left one has 3 LEDs out I'm sure the right one is about to have some go soon too.
