Tail light gone wrong 2005 Acura tl
I have recently replaced my broken driver side tail light. While doing the assembly realized that the part had 3 female plug inlets while the car only has 2 wires outlets. The part fits perfectly but now the brake light doesn't turn on only the signal light does.
Can anyone suggest a workaround to have the brake light working. Definitely looks like wrong part but wondering if there is a way to extended the plugs and make it work

Thats odd, there should never be any issues with 3G tail lights as they are all identical electronics between 04-08 (the entire 3G generation). Its been a while since I have a tail light out, but if I remember correctly all there should be is a connector for the LED board (brake light and running light), and a bulb connector for the turn signal bulb. not sure what this third connection would be.

Yup you are right. Dump enough threw away led board thinking the new one comes with all parts. Fortunately was able to buy a cheap broken light on eBay and used the led board with the new shell
