TAIL light FOGGING please help

I got these 07 tail lights for free. driver side is chipped but did not really care. so I installed them yesterday ( pain in A%%) I had to remove bumper on my 05 TL.
Anyhow it was raining yesterday and pretty moist I figured I'll putt some transparent silicon on the crack cause it is not really visible and did not baughter me much.
After i putt the silicon and come back after 2 hours, the tail light is all fogged up. So i removed the silicon again so the water that is maybe it in would dry out .

What is your best suggestion to fix this .

Thanks in advance for all the comments

when you change out the lights, there is a seal on the back of them that needs to be changed, its pretty easy to do and the seal is cheap.

33507-SEP-A01 GASKET, BASE (2 needed (one for each side)) 1.40

You just need gaskets.

Also silicon attracts moisture but it keeps it out. Weird yes I know.
