The wife backed into another car. Luckily my car only sustained damage. The clear outer shell of the driver side tail light is smashed like an egg shell.

Can I replace just the clear shell, or does the whole tail light need to be replaced?

Should I buy OEM or genuine?

Is I DIY?

You must replace the whole thing, you can pick them off ebay for cheap

That's not COMPLETELY true.. If the OP is willing to bake the headlight, he can replace the shell. Problem is not many people sell the shells themselves. Might be cheaper/ and definitely less effort to just replace the entire tail light. Check the Black Market, I've seen a couple tail lights there.

 

This is for taillights not headlghts. You cant bake taillights if i remember correctly.

 

I saw a set of 04 06 0EM ones for $60 shipped recently in the BM. Seemed like a good deal if you don't mind the solid reds.
