Stumble on start, stumble idle, fine cruising
07' Just started today going to test drive new cars for the wif....had to come home after it started stumbling more at stoplight and didn't want to get stranded. 120k miles, had the full 105k maintenance done 5 months ago.
Upon starting, the start sounds like a chah chah chah chah while rpms chatter around 1-200 before kicking in, then stumbling around 650-700. Once going it seems to run and shift fine.
No code or check engine light on, feels emission related but not sure where to start.
Oh, and don't know if this is related, but battery has quite a bit of white crap around the positive terminal, with the hot summer earlier not sure if that could be a factor?
Thanks!

IMO: I would start by making sure the battery terminals are totally clean, as well as checking to see if the corrosion has entered the wiring on the cable as well. You may want to check the ground cables as well. After cleaning the terminals, check the procedure, for re-setting the ecu. Do that first, and see what happens.

OK thanks guys, you can hear a whooshing air type sound then pressing gas in garage with hood up, will check egr and clean battery too see what happens.

OK good news, cleaned battery posts, not as bad as originally thought.....couldn't get egr bolts to budge without fear of breaking them off. So I took a look at TB, took off air filter section (obviously) to throttle body and had a look. Top flap stuck partially open, cleaned up, took for a spin and back to running normal.
Time for a celebratory beer.

Oh btw, the little coiled spring thing around section hooking to air filter section broke upon trying to pry off, are these that important? I will replace at some point but is it a priority? Seems pretty tight fit regardless.....
