Radio Issue: No “Code” Option After Battery Disconnect
After 4 hours of fiddling I finally have a radio again. Battery had died due to window regulator failure, didn’t drive the car for almost 2 months, sitting in the car port. Finally got around to the window and jumped the battery then entered the Navi code, held the volume button in and nothing appeared on the upper screen.
I tried re-setting the battery(multiple times), checked all fuses relating to the the radio/dash, along with loads of cursing and moaning. Decided to drive to the gas station the next day before I tried disconnecting the radio antenna, got gas, drove it home and let it run for a little bit. 20 minutes later I decided to give it another try and sure enough, the word “code” appeared on the upper screen.. Completely stumped as to how this happened but for those of you having issues drive the car after a battery reset and let it sit/run for a little bit!
-Oh, and I hope none of you guys have the displeasure of having to replace a window regulator by yourself! No fun 😂
