Stripping brembo caliper bolt hole threads

I did a brake job and following oem torque spec 125 ft/lb , and then I stripped the threads. I see a lot of people go with timesert helicoil, how many ft/lb did you guys torque to?

I torque mine down at 86 ft-lbs, there are multiple Evo/STI owner reaching out to Brembo and they said not to torque anything higher than 90 ft-lbs.

I just snug them up with a few taps of the ratchet handle and my palm. Don't need to ridiculously tight. I have timeserted a few of the brembos now, and 90foxnotch just sent me his to do. I should be getting them tomorrow and have them back to him hopefully by the end of the week if I get the box before 5PM tomorrow.

If you go with a reman. caliper, you may be able to sell your brembo's to @Euro-R_Spec_TSX . He's looking for Brembo Brake Caliper any condition 3G TL.

If your Brembo calipers work, why would you get another? The stripped threads are common and can be easily fixed with timesert or helicoil. In fact, some people put on timeserts with perfectly good threads because it's so common.

Here's a few kits for around half that

Amazon Amazon
https://www.threadtoolsupply.com/m14...epair-kit.html
https://www.threadtoolsupply.com/M14...epair-kit.html
https://www.threadtoolsupply.com/m14...air-m-kit.html (need tap and drill bit)

Before you order a kit make sure you measure the thread depth the inserts are generally sold in increments of 1/2 thread diameter or 6mm in your case. I think the helicoil kits are generally 1.5D but I'd definitely look it up before ordering if you go that route.
