has this ever happen to anyone?

was listening to music and all of a sudden the audio just dies. and now i cant even load cds. i get an error and my whole stereo system including radio wont turn back on unless i restart the car. other than that my radio works fine just the cd player. anyone might know what have cause this to happen?

 

Yep, this exact thing has happened to me.

I'm surprised because lately I'm seeing a lot of threads about this same problem. Unfortunately for me, it was about a week and a half after I bought my TL in late September.

After this happened to me, my CD unit died. It will load and recognize CDs just fine, but it will never start playing the tracks. I found out it's a bad CD unit and I have to get a new one, so that totally sucks.

I just hope it didn't/doesn't happen to you when you're in the middle of a long road trip. I had just started a 2 1/2 hour road trip to Salt Lake City but luckily there was a turnoff before the canyon so I could stop and take care of it. Otherwise that would've been an awful ride down.
