Stiff/Heavy gas pedal and steering wheel

Hi all,
I recently bought a used 2007 Acura TL Type S (lovely car).
I've been driving it now for a month and notice that the gas pedal is quite stiff/heavy, with the steering wheel also (though when i read the review, this was expected).
So my question is are all gas pedal stiff on Type S of this year and is there something I can do to make it softer?
Also I feel a slight delay in acceleration when I go from 30-60 (about 2s).
Please help me out guys, I hope I didn't buy a lemon, I really love the car but my legs are killing me.
Thank you ever so kindly.

Gas pedal is electronic so there is no way it can be stiff. The TL uses drive by wire so it picks up how much you move the pedal via the Accelerator Position Sensor.

You can adjust the sensor a little bit to get rid of any slack and see if it helps.

The power steering is a bit tough on the TL-S compared to the base TL. Check your power steering fluid level. Also does the car idle at 750 RPM?

The delay is the transmission downshifting, and as well if there is slack in the sensor for the accelerator then that adds to it too.

You can also do a ECU reset and see if it helps with everything.
