Steering wheel emblem

My 2007-2008 steering wheel emblem (A) is peeling...someone said the emblem is part of the airbag and cannot be replaced. But other guys told me that you can try to get this emblem below but I am not too sure if it works or not.

has anyone already tried this?

Ive haven't seen anyone attempt this usually for a number of reasons.

Your still going to remove your airbag and seperate the cover from the airbag unit.
In 90% of the cases the emblem is part of the cover. In this case judging by those photos I would suspect you will need to break off the emblem and secure it. How do you do that? No idea.. Once you removed the airbag cover off the airbag unit you will notice that the emblem looks like it's put in place with plastic rivets. In any case you will need to secure this very well so that it doesn't fall off, and most importantly fly off when in an accident.

I just bought one of those off of ebay 2 days ago i will let you know how it goes, from the looks of the photo it seems that those plastic tabs are ment to be melted to the cover. What i plan on doing is getting some fine twizzer to pick the old emblem out and use 3m emblem glue for the new one.

How did it go. I am looking at doing this to. Thought about carefully dremeling it down along it's contact points, then super gluing the new one.

Don't try it I bought it and it was a waste. I could not find a way to get the old one off, I tried to pull it off and even took the airbag out still no way and ended up making it look worse so I ordered a new airbag from Acura. The list is about $700 and I was able to get for $520 and I sold my old airbag on ebay for $300 with the emblem I bought for it.

He posted the same thing in 2 other threads. I ask him on both threads why not just post it here. Hes reply was, "I found a maker of the oem emblems and I want 1 for my car, however they have a 20 piece minimum."

Net $220 for a new emblem! Makes performance mods seem like a value!

Kostantinos, you need to put these into the Black Market.
