Starting Issues

I haven't started my car in over a week and a half. I've had a little trouble in the past with the car starting sometimes. I came back at the car was completely dead. I tried to jump it and the car does this:

Could it be the starter that's gone bad? or the alternator not keeping the charge? I've got a Die Hard battery that's not even a year old. Any assistance would be great.

That's not a starter issue. That's a lack of power issue. The 07-08 TL has an auto crank feature that cranks by itself until the engine starts even if you let go of the key. However the downside is that when your battery is dead, it will crank for awhile after you let go of the key and it'll make the lights go all crazy like that. Sounds like you didn't leave the jumper cables on the battery long enough. If the charge is completely dead on the battery it will usually take quite a few minutes before it's able to even crank.

My starter issue is fixed now and It didnt sound or look like that.

Making all that tacking noise usually the battery doesnt have enough power.

Try get the battery tested.

This is the first thing I would be looking at. I just had a slightly similar issue in my '05 where all the lights and everything worked, but as soon as I hit the key the dash went wonky and then off. Turns out my negative cable was loose on the battery. Tightened that up and the car was fine again.
