I have been experiencing this issue for the past year or so. When I put the key into the ignition, and turn it - most of the time, it does not start the engine. However, if I shift the car into Drive (or anything) then shift it back into park - the key will turn and start the engine (every time).

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

 

I know what you mean. I've had this problem on my 2005 TL as well. No idea what causes it.

 

maybe a problem with the lockout for the gear shift. Honda autos will not start in anything other than Park (or Neutral?)
