Starter Problem
I think my starter may be going out. Car use to just fire up at the turn of the key and now it takes 3-4 clicks to start. Sounds like a 20 year old car that has been parked in the cold for 2 days. Car just doesnt fire up as quick, is this the starter?
I have a 06 TL with only 24,000 miles, the starter is covered under warranty right?

those batteries are known weak and failing at a year or 2 old
Check with acura on the battery warranty
after 12 months its prorated= you partial pay, but if the one in there sucked... you may want to get a different brand
I use zone or kragen, and understand they last 3 years or so- thats any battery!
Parts stores will test the whole system for free in the parking lot- just get there~

Yes, the TL battery is not very good, but your description is not clear enough to determine for sure that it's the battery.
What do you mean by "Clicks"? When you turn the key you hear only a click?
When the car finally starts, does it crank with normal speed or does it spin slow and then speed up?

Actually, sorry it is not clicks but the engine just turns over a few times and then fires up. As if it is struggling to start. Im not sure because I have had bad batteries before and usually a good indicator of a bad battery is all the juice gets sucked out of the interior lighting to try and fire up the engine, which is not the case here. Strange, this problem started as soon as Houston received its major cold front from the weather going from the 80's to cold temperatures outside.
Just sounds like the engine is having to turn over a few times to get started. A week ago that engine would fire up in a nanosecond after turning the key.
Also in the Acura TL 2006 warranty book that is included with the owners manual it states that during the first 4 years a defective battery will be replaced at no cost to you. Diagnosis, labor, installation, and the cost of a replacement battery are covered by Acura. Its on page 29.

Did any1 ever find an answer to this question???
My 07 TL is doing the exact same thing. Turns slow then starts.
I was searching online and it said to prime it by turning the key to the II position twice before cranking it. My car started right up after that, but i cant find the website again
