is there a DIY on how to change the SRS Module in the 3G TL's. i was told its behind the dash some where.

 

No DYI on the SRS for good reasons. Take the car to the dealership for repairs to the SRS.

 

the driver airbag was blown and i replced it. and the dealer told me that i also have to change the srs module behind the dash.

 

I'm haven't done this on a 3g yet but I'm like most other acura it's located in the below the center of the dash. More than likely you will need to remove the center console and everything around it to get to the srs unit.

Contact me on monday and I can get a pic of the manual when I get into the shop.

 

I had the SRS module replaced on my 01 CLS under warranty and that was well after my 3 year Canadian factory warranty expired. As far as I know, Acura covers safety related parts for 7 years. Just bring it to the dealer and they should replace it at no charge.

 

I doubt they will replace it for free if an airbag has deployed!

 

i bought a salvage 05 tl and so i dont think the dealer will replace it for me under warrenty.
