I completed my navi conversion but I'm plagued with the srs/airbag light staying on.

During the installation, I removed the passenger seat and I believe I connected the battery to do some testing with the OPDS connector disconnected.

I tried doing the manual jumper sequence of the mes connector which seems to go well (I get the two blinks) but the light comes back on after the 6 sec initialization.

Does the OPDS need to be reinitialized because I powered up without it connected? The service manual says you need the HDS to do this. Is there a workaround?

I'll likely take it to my dealer on my hands and knee's hoping they won't rape me in the process but I thought I'd ask here as well.

 

I'll answer my own question.

The problem was with the OPDS but it was because I took the fuse out.

Once I realized that and cleared the codes, everything was good.

I made an appointment with the dealer who was going to charge me to pull the codes. But I didn't need to keep it.
