Squealing brakes

My brakes squeal only when backing up and only after sitting overnight. I plan on spraying wd40 on the calipers and rotors through the spokes of the factory wheels.
I will do 1 wheel at a time, so that when the squealing stops, I'll know which one it is. Sound feasible?

Btw, is there a belt in my brakes?

Missing the facebook group?

but yes there is a belt. Should only use genuine Acura NSX lube though.

Maybe I should try belt dressing then.

In all seriousness, I bought some brake grease. Going to do the rears first and hoping that fixes it. Reading the stories here about stripping the aluminum threads on the Brembos scares me. Lol

You don't have to remove those bolts to grease the back of the pads. Just pull the pins and the pads will slide out. You only have to touch those bolts if you are replacing the rotor.

my brakes used to squeal on backing up and it was because my brake drum shoes needed adjustment. I bought new ones thinking it needed replacement but took them all apart and they looked mint. tightened it all back, re-calibrated the star nut to the proper turns, checked the e brake lever in cabin to ensure it was at the proper number of clicks and voila, no more squealing.
Spoiler

Hope that helps!

Thoiboi, I don't think it's the e-brakes shoes. The e-brake had to be pulled up almost all the way to keep the car from rolling down the driveway in neutral and it has squealed since I got it.
When I swapped the 08 display in a few weeks ago I tightened up the adjustment nut under the cup holder so it would grab a little bit earlier.
The lady I bought he car from in December had the rear brakes doe in the fall and one caliper replaced. He probably didn't use an grease.
Heck, in 34 years of doing my brakes, I've never used the grease. Never had any brakes squeal so I figured it was marketing from Big Grease. Lol
