Squeaky sound from under hood

I have noticed this for the last few months...when I start my car in the morning after a rainy/wet/damp previous day or overnight, there's a squeaky sound coming from under the hood, but then goes away as I drive the car and/or as the car warms up. It sounds like a squeaky belt or pulley.

Anyone else experience this and if so, have you been able to pinpoint the problem area?

My car is an '05 with 59k miles on it.

Thanks for any help to this matter!

most likely is belt related. only way to find out is to pop the hood and stick your head in there to see where it's coming from.

i took my 08 tl-s to the dealer about this issue... they said it was the tenisoner and the serpentine belt and that both needed to be replaced.... for about $300

Had both my tensioner and serpentine belt changed a few months ago under warranty. Car is back to making another squeaking noise on the cold start in the morning, it goes away after driving for awhile, guess I can rule those two out, hopefully I can figure it out. When the tensioner was bad the noise was apparent all the time. I will post up what I find.

Sounds like there might be some fluid getting on the belt. Double check to ensure that the PS pump or something isn't leaking fluid on to the belts.

Does powertrain warranty cover the belt and tensioner? :/

I'm at 90k KM and I can hear the belt. You might have to pop out the engine cover to get a better view of the belt to notice any cracks.
