i thought my problem was the power-steering, so i changed that according to the tsb yesterday (i was already on the orange o-ring).... well it was raining this morning and the squeak was louder than ever!
It does not get any better or worse when i move the wheel, and if i step on the accelerator the squeaking speeds up.... when i take my foot off, it slows down
57k on the odometer

where is the squeak coming from? is it near the timing belt area? there are a couple of TSBs out for such squeaks perhaps one of them is the problem? i had a squeak like this that last 3 days and it mysteriously quieted itself since. mine sounded like a bunch of crickets or chirpy birds on cold starts then went away after 5 minutes.
does yours go away with driving or is it always there? sounds like a belt, or pulley. someone with more engine saavy can chime with the exact names of possibly suspects.

I'm having the same problem with my '06. It only happens when it's cold out and goes away as the engine warms up, usually within 5 minutes. I'm also curious as to what could be a solution to this.

one TSB pertains to the timing belt. the other one pertains to a heat shield.
i have not done anything about mine since it went away on its own.
its yours fairly consistent and how long has it been happening?

i bought the car in march... the weather was warm then so i never noticed the cold start squeak. I noticed it one cool morning maybe a month or two after i got it, but then the temps went back up so i never noticed it again... until it got cold, or cold and rainy... now its all the time...
sounds like a squeak-squeak-squeak, but if i step on the accelerator it speeds up to a squeeksqueeksqueek and then if i pull my foot off back to squeak-squeak-squeak again until it wams up.
squeak.

if its consistent...take it to the dealer and leave it with them overnight, so they will hear what you are talking about.
perhaps you might have hamsters running in a squeaky wheel (sorry couldn't resist)?
my car did the same thing when it was chirping/squeaking. thankfully my crickets are nice and dormant for now (perhaps forever).
i'd be curious to see what the dealer says.

my noise came from the pulley I'd spray some lubricate on them it got louder then i had to drive my car for awhile for the lubricate to burn out then the noise stopped but i won't try that again got scared when the noise got louder
it rained again last night, so i took a video of the noise this morning....
http://youtu.be/hxKX3n1xB5Q?hd=1
it only makes this noise until the car gets warm

yup...mine sounded like that when it happened. coming from the passenger side of the engine. gets louder and goes faster when youstep on the gas, right?
i'd take it in to the dealer leave over night and have them start it up on a rainy wet day. i don't ever like takingmy car into the dealer on bad weather days. i know, anal. but in your case...show them the video and then leave the car with them the next time the weather is wet.

Serpentine belt...simple fix. Just buy a new belt and replace the old one. You should need a 14mm (??) wrench to release tension from the tensioner pulley to slip the old one off, and just put the new one on. Be sure to draw out which way the belt goes before you take the old one off. I did mine about 4 months ago and it took about 20 minutes. Also at 57k now.

I would start with the belt since it's the easiest fix. If you're weary of tackling this yourself, any good shop should be able to do this fairly cheap. You're around the same miles as me and mine started to squeak just like that during rainy, wet days. It would go away after awhile, but sounded awful when I first started her and drove a bit.

mine stopped chirping after 3 days last fall. hasn't done it since. never took it to the dealer, b/c it's been quiet. it has to make the noise in order for them to do anything about it. so until jimminie decides to poke his head out again...i won't bug my dealer about it.
I was getting the same squeek when I had my CLS6 a few years back. Changed the belt, no luck. It ended up being a tiny leak from the radiator hose was getting antifreeze on the belt and it would squeel.... probly a rare occurance, but couldn't hurt to check
i dont know how to adjust the tension, and am too nervous about inadvertently damaging something with regard to applying dressing...
Last question.... would this be covered under the powertrain warranty?

Pull the serpentine belt off and start the car, if your noise goes away then you have your answer.
It is alright to run it like that for a few seconds.....probably even minutes but I wouldn't keep it going without the accessories longer than you need to.

I have an old mechanic trick to check if it is your belt.
With the engine running, slightly rub soap bar against the inside of the belt to apply a small amount of soap on it, if the squeak stops, just replace your belt.
