Squeaking after window tint
Squeaking after window tint
I got my windows tinted about two weeks ago, and ever since then there's been the nastiest squeaking noises coming from the two front windows whenever I roll them up or down. I took it back to the shop about a week ago and the owner, taking absolutely no responsibility for the noise, sprayed some WD-40 on the outside of the windows and although it did stop the squeaking, my windows would be coated in WD-40 every time I'd roll them down for about two days.
Now the squeaking has returned and it's 10x worse. And to make matters worse, whenever I roll down my front passenger window, there's a sticky white substance that sticks onto the inside of the window. I'm pretty sure they f'ed up big time on the tint job and broke some seals somewhere and that white stuff is glue.
I'm going to take it to the dealer this week and have them diagnose the problem, and if it's b/c of the tints, I'm gonna raise hell at the tint shop.
Any advice on what else I should do?

Sounds like a botched tint job to me...and spraying WD-40 on your windows! that's insane, I'd definitely be up in arms over the whole thing, especially if the dealer says its all caused by something that occured during the tint application
