spray tint problem

i just used spray tint to black out my rear sidemarkers but I think one side came out like shit. Any ideas on the best way to remove it without sanding or hurting my paintjob? or maybe a way of removing the whole rear sidemarker? thanks.

ChRiS_nYc, IMHO, I would do a little phone research first before taking anything apart or sanding... try to contact the manufacture of the spray tint you used to see if they have any recommendations as to a "tint remover" that wont hurt the plastic or car paint.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

Hummm... good suggestion! Great for over spray.

Just hope the tint paint isn't the same stuff I got ahold of years ago, it worked so-so on glass but bonded to plastic real nasty. Never used it again....

the rear s/m comes off so easily. when i was applying Rockblocker with soapy water & a hair drier, they popped out, so i finished indoors.

popped out sidemarkers, wiped off the spray tint and polyurethane with turpentine in about 5 minutes. Next time I'll probably use vinyl. Thanks for input.

p.s. be careful using turpentine if too much used it can dull the plastic, and keep it away from the car
