SPC front camber kit hitting wheel well

I ordered a set of SPC front camber kit ball joints for my 04 TL after lowering it on BWR SS, and prior to buying them I was warned that there was a common problem customers were having where if the car is at a certain height and you go over a bump, the camber kit hits the top of the wheel well, making a very unpleasant sound and feeling. Called SPC and they recommended a set of spacers that installs on the springs to eliminate the hitting, but I don't see how that would help - correct me if I'm wrong - the ball joints hit the frame, not the suspension. Another suggestion was cutting a hole out where the ball joints hit, or take them out altogether and put the stock ball joints back in as they aren't really as necessary as the back wheels.

Anyone else experience this issue and their method to solve it? Please let me know - it'll be much appreciated.

P.s. I searched around and didn't really find anything similar to this unless I missed it.
