So my wife spilled coke down into the gear shifter......
So per the title, coke down the gear shifter and now manual light stays on and drive light blinks, CEL also on so I checked with OBDWIZ via my laptop and got P0957. Can I just take out the manual switch and give it a good cleaning with some electronics cleaner and hope for the best or does this mean the entire circuit is fried???

Looks like its time to start disassembling your center console :-) Your gonna have to clean everything piece by piece. Its gonna take some time, but its really the best way to do it. Pop is nasty shit and IMO you don't want to leave it down there. Take a few hours and get the job done. As for the switch yeah just take it apart if need be and clean it very well inside and out. That should take care of it, if not you may need to replace it.
P.S. I call it pop because im from the midwest...Chicago area ;-)

Haha, well I call it coke cause I'm from Alabama, but I have one sister in Wyoming and one in Utah so I hear it a lot. And yea ive already done this once before, coke (pop) being the culprit last time too, the switch that lets if shift out of park was stuck like it was super glue but a nice clean up and grease did the trick, hopefully will be the same this time, just wanted to hear it was possible before going through all the trouble again. If it doesn't work I'm making her ride with no console until the new switch comes in. Should teach her a lesson but she's hard headed as hell. We shall see I guess....

This is why I don't allow any food or drink in my car, which also applies to myself. Unless it's in a closed container that can't open easily, or wrapped up, it's going in the trunk.

I agree and I'm the same way with mine, one dark soda down between the seats and it's all over. Unless your like me and remove every seat in the car just to shampoo the carpet....

Whoa duuuuuuude I was just kidding..... I thought that was fairly obvious when I compared marriage to automotive diagnostics. No hard feelings man and congratulations to you sir.
I agree with JTS's suggestions of taking everything apart and giving it a nice cleaning.

Geez guys, I thing the aging things on thing went a little overboard, didn't mean mine bad either. But reading back over I see how it can be taken that way (Plus the fact she saw all the replies hahahaha) Just did it to make her feel better she kinda takes things really personally. Sorry didn't mean to start a controversy here, thank you VERY much for your help. And i'm sorry but that was funny as shit.

I agree a good couple hours of elbow grease and you will probably be fine. Had this happen in my old commuter accord. Spilt the soda and when the lights on the dash stopped changing when I switched from park to reverse or drive. Because I hate things like this I tore everything apart and cleaned it and dried it all out. Once done everything worked fine, besides the 3 extra screws I had.....

Sometimes we (by we, I mean I) joke around here a little TOO much. Let us know how it goes!
If you don't want to lose your screws, put them back in the hole they came out of every time you remove a part. This helped me immensely! Firstly, you won't lose any and secondly, you won't try to put them in the wrong holes.

Ok when I was 17 my friend spilled Rum and Coke onto the shifter. The suger coagulated so bad the shifter actually stuck. It was such a nightmare because it was my parents brand new TL.
I used fabreeze and hot wet wipes to desperately get rid if any smell and sticky spots.
In the end the car had to go the dealership and get a new shifter console installed.
You may have to just do the same, suger is such a lost cause.

In the RDX the SRS (air-bag) control module is under th shifter - you may wish to determine just what is in that same area on your TL, and check on it when you remove the console.
