Snapped Rear Caliper Bleeder
Hey, my mechanic said since there was no rubber cap on one of my rear caliper bleeder nipple, he said when he tried opening it, it broke off.
Now it seems like there's a small hole in my caliper.
He says it's still sealed, though.
Does this mean I have to replace my caliper?
Or would I be able to screw the broken bolt out?
I'm not quite sure how the bleeder works on a caliper.

If it broke off while closed, which is most likely, I wouldn't worry about it. Loosening the bleeder screw essentially exposes a hole that goes through the screw. You'd know if its leaking, this is a high pressure system.
You probably would need to replace the caliper if you wanted to fix it. It really just depends on how it broke off, and how badly its stuck in there. Remanufactured calipers usually are not very expensive, especially the small rears, it's not a big deal.

That caliper will still have the "old" fluid, so he should have tried to remove the bleeder, but if no success, he could undo the brake hose and compress the piston to complete the job.
