Talking Smokin Everybody!

So I took a trip down to PA this weekend and suddenly saw a huge cloud of smoke coming from my hood and rear view mirror! I blew my automatic transmission. Lucky for me its under warrantee but I was wondering if anyone could think of anything to look out for, inspect or replace while the transmission is out?

replace any interior light bulbs that have gone dead. do any recalls. fix any rattling noises.

Replace the Rear Main Seal. Even if it's not leaking.
Check the Motor Mounts.

Give us more details on your issue. How many miles were on it? 05? Any fluid change or anything recently that may have caused this?

It's probably fine. How does the car drive? You could have a leak at an axle or more likely it puked through the vent tube. I would make sure the fluid level is fine and see how she drives.
