2 possibilities- defective srs unit or seat belt sensor. Im willing ti bet its one of those two, but higher chance on the srs unit

I had the same icon pop on my 05 as well. Dealer said it was the driver and passenger side sensors. Fixed for free well outside of warranty.

This happened to me a while back. Take it to a dealer and they should fix it free of charge

thanks everyone... are you guys pretty positive the dealership will fix it for free or not? .. because the guys at the dealership here are pretty defiant when it comes to the word "Free"

I'm fairly confident that this should be fixed for free because it is a safety issue.

I got the same thing happen a few weeks ago. I looked into it and it’s the driver side seatbelt sensor.

Btw its not that hard to replace these sensors urself in case dealer doesnt do it for free. Although they should, as long as ur car hasnt veen in an accident before.

Did you replace the sensor yourself? or did you take it to the dealership?

I did nothing yet. But if its FREE to fix at dealer like everyone says I probably let them do it.

I just took mine to the dealer and they said it would be $100 to diagnose it! Then I turned around and left.

Did you have something on the seat when you were driving?

I remember my 6th Gen Accord used to have an SR light that would randomly appear when I would set something on the seat that wasn't too heavy.

I believe the TL has a sensor in the seat and if the weight is less than X pounds, it disables the passenger airbag.

I can only give you my experience. That icon popped up at around 100k miles. My warranty ran out at 50k. I have no extended warranty. Dealer did not charge me to diagnose it. They said they would look at it and let me know. Before I knew it, it was fixed. I do have a good relationship with my dealer but the S.A. told me since it was a safety issue it was fixed free of charge. It might of also helped that I researched this issue on AcuraZine before I took it in and told him what I thought the problem was and it seemed like a safety issue.

I dont think its the passenger side airbag.. this has something to do with the driver side I assume
