Small clanking noise when wheel is turned...Help!

Hello Everyone,

I noticed a small clanking noise when I go around roundabouts or u-turns when I'm going 25+ mph. I'm not too concerned with it, but my 5 year manufacture warranty ends in March and would like to get this serviced if it is covered. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it covered under warranty? Thanks!

that could likely be a bad axle, i've experienced 3 DOA axles in a row last time i had to replace so i went through same noise, but depending on the specifics of noise could also be any one of the control arms ect,... i'm thinking axle,,, if the noise is slight, slightly bad axle

Thanks for your input Scott. Would this be a problem that is covered under the factory warranty?

I have a 04 6spd TL i replaced the right axle twice. Once because of the noise, the second time because the bearing broke when i was making a left turn from a red light (manufacturing defect). I still got the noise, but now i think its on the left side.

I would consider this a wear and tear item, so i do not think it is covered under the factory waranty.

Good Luck!

You had to replace the right axle twice? With no warranty? It's hard for me to believe that a bad axle is a "wear and tear" item. Especially on a 2008. Does anybody else have feedback on this subject or a good dealership in south Florida to take it to?
