Engine grinding noise
Here is the problem...
Whenever i rev up and release the gas real quick, it sounds like metal is grinding in the engine. It happens for a split second, around 2k-4k RPM. It is a really sharp sound, like when u grind metal on a grinding wheel. It doesn't happen when i slowly rev it up.
I thought it could be from the power steering pump, when its cold outside it doesn't sounds so good. I believe I need to change the O ring then that will solve the Power Steering noise. But the grinding noise still sounds when the engine is warm up and the power steering noise stopped.
It is kinda hard to trouble shoot by myself, if I had someone step on the gas while i listen to the noise, I may hopefully find the vicinity of the problem.
Any input is really appreciated. I have an '04 TL, MT with roughly 78K miles
