Silly question: Trunk Loose?

My trunk seems to be a bit loose. When it's closed, I can push down on it and it will compress and sag a bit. In other words, when closed the trunk still has a little play when force is pushed downwards. Noticed this when I was installing ebay spoiler. Curious if this is normal or is something wrong with my trunk?

Thanks in advance!

It sounds normal, thats why you have rubber seals to seal the trunk when its closed enough. However, with the trunk open you will notice bump stops on each side of the trunk lid. These can be turned and adjusted to raise or lower the trunk. Might be good to play with these a bit and see what happens.

I would adjust the center latch. It is bolted on. Just loosen it, and then lower it about 1/4" inch then tighten and test. Adjust as needed. The bump stops can be used but if the truck is too high when it is firm, then you need to lower the latch. If you raise the bump stops, it might just make the trunk lid sit too high and not flush.

The cover just snaps off.. I already adjusted mine the same way.
