Side view mirrors

I have a quick question. I just bought a 2005 TL for my father and the two side view mirrors have burnt marks like water swirl marks but dark. The car still have 10 days of manufacture warranty (I also have the extended warranty on the car). Is that something can be replaced under the warranty? Thanks in advance.

Pictures would be nice but I believe I know what you're talking about. The 'burned' marks on the mirror? would be from the reflective material corroding or worn off by moisture / uv light / etc.. You can either take the mirror out and have the it recoated or have the dealer replace the mirror/s.

yeah, the rust marks on the bottom edge of the mirrors. I will try it later at the dealer, but not sure how to report it since I bought the car from a Honda dealer.

either or.. Honda / Acura same thing.. I would take it to Acura b/c they work on them all day.. don't worry about warranty reporting issues unless Honda said the warranty is through their dealership only. Give Acura a call and don't let them B.S. you.

So, I went to the Honda dealer where I got the TL last night and had them done the alignment on the car. Car runs straight on hwy now, which is good, but then I lost 2 hrs there. On my way home I called Acura to see how it is, they said they're closing on service area but then I stopped by anyway. A service manager still there, I asked for app. to change the mirrors. He checked the vin and turn out my car needs to do the 2 recalls as well (steering wheel and windshield wiper pump?). While he's doing that, I started to BS a little, that I when to AZ forum asked people and a lot of them got the same issue, which they got replaced under the warranty. Also some of the members upn in AZ recommended me to bring the car to SunnySide Acura ahahah. So far, he said that everything is under the warranty including the mirrors unless this Thursday when I drop it off and a tech check if there is any physical damage, which won't be covered. I know the car is in mint condition, just hope that they don't give me any BS. It was a nice experience so far, he also offered me to clean and all the basic service for free as their courtesy.

Sounds good. I've had a lot of bad experiences with some stealerships and service writers who have tried to B.S. me on paying for maintenance work or some type of issue that isn't urgent / important but expensive. You did the right thing talking to the service manager! Having a good relationship with the service manager can pay off.. especially when you're out of warranty coverage.

Good news is that I got the car back and everything is covered under the warranty. Everything was very pleased, but the only suck part is that I don't like the car anymore. Guess why? They gave me the brand new fully loaded 2009 TL as a loaner. I admit that the car is roomier (seem that way), the interior is way nicer than the last gen TL. The ELS system sounds nicer. I agreed that the dash carries the Accord line but way nicer. User friendly buttons. The front end is nice for exterior, but the rear still trying to adjust. Overall I like the dash most. For handling, it's not really feel as much sporty as my summer ride but pretty well for a sedan. Feel much better than my father's TL for sure (not sure about the last gen TL-s). Anyhow, I would consider this as a family car with a little fun on the side when needed. From 1- 10 I would say 8.5, I intentionally leaving 1.5 for the other cars just incase feeling test drive something else better in the same class. Here are few pictures I took with my Nikon D80, they are in high res. so I have to cut it down:
