Side mirrors rusting..

Has anyone experienced this? I have an 08 TL-S in great shape with just ove 60,000 kms and within the past 2-3 months, the mirrors are starting to dis-color... same this happened with a 2000 jetta I owned.. VW ended up sending a recall on them as lots were rusting... Any idea if acura will do the same or am I SOL and have to fork out $$ for new mirrors?? thks in advance...

What part is rusting? I thought the housing was painted plastic and the lense is glass.

are you talking about the discoloration on the mirror itself? If you are that means you will need new mirrors, just the mirror, not whole housing.

Replace the glass, or cover it with Multivex mirrors.

I think your talking about the actual mirrors itself , this happens when you leave in your heated mirrors , just gotta make sure you turn it off since it doesn't do it on its own, you can buy replacement Mirrors for like 50 or so at the dealer

All you need to do is replace the mirrors (not the entire housing):

Drivers Side Part #76253-SEP-A01 ($36.85 @ acuraoemparts.com)
Passenger Side Part #76203-SEP-A01 ($36.85 @ acuraoemparts.com)
