shocks!
shocks!
We all know how we hate hearing screeching cars driving while breaking, well now im affected! I have a feeling its mostly my shocks because the screeches fade out when im coming to a stop. Any word on pricing, any way to check myself?
blown shocks make a clunking sound over uneven road or over bumps. You can tell if you have a blown shock if it's leaking. You can inspect the brake pads by trying to get a visual through the wheel from the side of the caliper.. but it's a bit tight.. if you remove the wheel you can definitely get a better view. If the sensor / strike tab is close / past the pad material... change them now. You want at least 2mm of pad material past the striker.
If your brakes are making a prolonged screeching sound everytime you brake.. it's time for new pads.. no visual inspection required.
