08 TL-S shifting console heats up whenever i have the sunroof/moonroof open, It heats up to the point where you can feel the heat. If I drive without opening the sunroof, it'll drive fine without any issues but the minute I open up the sunroof, it'll start heating up. Anyone else have this issue? Could it be the floor heat shield?

 

Its Possible that a rubber grommit wiggled loose below the shifter which is right above the heatshield. This happened to a couple members who installed a short shifter. The fact that its more noticible with the sunroof open has to do with the movement of air from inside to out. Heat rises.
