Shift lock problem

My car doesnt shift out of park unless I insert a screw driver into the overide. I know for a fact its not the brake switch because I changed it and it didnt solve the problem. Basically I cant do anything that requires the break to be depressed first.

Is there a module in the shift assembly that needs to be changed? Any instructions on hot to get to it?

check fuse 32 in the inside fuse box; that may be causing the issue if it's loose or partially broken. if that doesn't solve it, then most likely its the shift lock solenoid that needs to be replaced.

Can I change the solenoid myself? Is there a guide?

Thanks
