Shaking when braking

Hi Guys-

New to this forum but at first glance this site looks like a great resource.

I have a 2007 acura tl type s- auto. When i brake at high speeds 75 + mph...i get a shaking in the steering wheel.

I am assuming this is warped rotors? Feels as if it is just the front rotors shaking.

I have searched the forum and see there are a lot of options as to rotor replacement. Any suggestions as to a decent rotor for replacement? I have seen people using the slotted/drilled rotors...is it worth it?

Thanks guys

Brembo blanks or really even your higher tier of the local parts store should suffice . Unless you're taking it to the track no need for drilled slotted

Now, I have drilled /slotted in the fronts and dont track the car but, I do notice better braking capabilities since the rotors stay cooler.

A while ago I recall my buddy and I driving our separate TL's from my home to same destination. His front rotors were a lot hotter than mine.
I could touch mine without fear of getting burned compared to his.

Wouldnt cooler brake rotors stop the vehicle better even if not tracking?
Thanks

Drilled actually weaken the integrity structural of the rotor, yes it will run cooler however at the same time you are loosing some of the surface contact with pad. Unless you run SCCA even slotted rotor is not even needed, blank one from Centric or OEM will do just fine.

^ this. Get solid rotors. You're not going to notice a difference on the street. Even if you were tracking, I'd say to get slotted rotors only. You want the additional contact patch. You're not going to lose braking performance until you start melting the rotors. At that point your brake fluid is probably already boiling and your pedal will likely enjoy a place near the firewall.
